Saturday, September 14th at 11:30 a.m. step into ankle deep water with Lincoln artist, Janet Fredericks from the bank of Lewis Creek as it passes the pavilion at Cota Field in Starksboro. Janet will spend 20 minutes guiding participants in the use of lithographic crayons to trace the water current's flow pattern onto a sheet of paper submerged and anchored by rocks to the creek bed.

At high noon Janet will ask participants to step out of the water, dry off and move to the Starksboro Public library. In the library she will discuss drawing plants, birds, insects, and water in our natural environment. Janet will also share slides from one of her collaborative art projects entitled Being in Water. Highlights of this project and Janet's art can be viewed on her website janetfredericksstudio.com. Remember to pack a bag lunch to enjoy during the talk and slides. Boots or water shoes suggested. Elapsed time 11:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
