We have invited two knowledgeable people to come visit the Lincoln library:
Wildlife Biologist, Black Bear Project Leader : Forrest Hammond and Public Outreach Coordinator at the Addison County Solid Waste Management District : Jessie-Ruth Corkins,

We will be hosting a discussion about the changing nature of our bear and human populations; and how we can best get along, given our natural behaviors and activities. We will be giving special attention to the question of how to meet the mandatory composting requirement of Act 148 — the state's Universal Recycling Law — that will take effect next year.
