Hello dear neighbors!
My name is Cicilia Robison, and I am the new Executive Director at Addison Central Teens. We serve all of the teens in this neighborhood, as well as many of the surrounding towns. I wanted to spread the word about a few Fall events.
TODAY, Friday, September 6, we are hosting our annual Back To School Bash. From 3-6, please join us for raffle prizes, games, and food--including walking tacos. We'll be kicking off the school year with a bang. This is a great time for families to come to the Teen Center and see what we're all about! I look forward to meeting you.
On this Sunday, September 8, we will be hosting a Cryptoparty with the office of Digital Learning and Inquiry at Middlebury College. What's a cryptoparty? It's an event that helps people to take more control over their privacy. Bring your phone and laptop (or whatever devices you use to connect to the internet) to this workshop and we will explore together how to secure your devices and data. You'll learn how to use privacy oriented browsing and search tools, protect information on your phone from data theft, use social media more safely, and much more! This workshop is open to ALL teen humans in the Middlebury, VT area of ANY skill level. Snacks provided!
And finally, a reminder that we are open from 3-6pm every day that school is open, and 1-6 on early release days. We always have food and games, and a relaxed, supervised space for teens 7th-12th grade to hang out.
