Is there a special dog member in your family who needs a place to play off-leash? Do you enjoy meeting other dog families? Do you just enjoy getting out and meeting people? Do you want to help create a new dog park in South Burlington?
South Burlington "Friends of the Dog Parks" group has recently been established to ensure that South Burlington has safe, appropriate public spaces for dogs to play off leash and their families / friends to enjoy.
City officials have already committed substantial funding to establish a dog park next to the Wheeler Homestead and to improve conditions at the Farrell St Dog Park. What an incredible opportunity for all of us to work with city leadership, staff and the city's Dog Park Committee to make our common vision a reality!
But there is still a need for citizens to get involved! The "Friends" group is now identifying what activities and resources we can offer. If you and your dog are interested in being part of this, give your dog some time alone and come to the next "Friends" meeting on Monday, September 9 from 7-8:30pm at the Wheeler Homestead on Dorset St!
