The Laugh Bar is Burlington's newest comedy venue, located underneath the already popular bar "Drink." The Laugh Bar specializes in bringing you the best in local and regional comedic talent. Mike Recine started comedy in Jersey at the age of 18 in 2006. Since moving to New York in 2007 Mike has headlined top venues around the city and country. In 2010 he was nominated for Time Out New York’s "Joke of the Year" and an Emerging Comics of New York award for "Best Emerging Comic". He was also selected to perform in the "New Faces Showcase" at the 2011 Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal. Most recently Mike was selected to be a part of the writing team for the MTV movie awards.
James Huessy has been performing stand up comedy in New England for eight years. He now lives in Boston where he attends Northeastern University. He has opened for Sarah Silverman and Judah Friedlander and has been featured in various venues across New England including Levity Comedy Club, Half Lounge, The Off Center, Mass Art, Brandeis University and Emerson College.
Mike Thomas has been telling jokes since he was 14. He is a 3 time runner up for the "Higher Ground Comedy Battle" and was a runner up in the first ever "Funniest Comic in Vermont Contest." More recently Mike was asked to open for Kurt Braunohler, and for Kyle Kinane. Mike is also the co-producer of this show.
Phil Davidson has been a fixture in the burlington Comedy scene for years now. He regularly performed at burlingotn's 1st comedy club Levity and he recently won the 2013 "Funniest Comic in Vermont Contest". Phil also co-produces a weekly Showcase/Open Mic show at burlington's Half Lounge.
