EMP Training Course on Working Safely with Lead

Past event
Sep 18, 2019, 5 to 9 PM

Location:
Emergency Services Building
83 Sampsonville Rd, Enosburg Falls

This course will teach you about Vermont's Essential Maintenance Practices (EMP) law and how to work safely with lead.

EMPs are relatively inexpensive maintenance activities to reduce lead-based paint hazards and inspect the property for deteriorated (chipping and peeling) lead-based paint. They must be done on all rental housing and child care facilities built before 1978.

Completing this course allows you to become EMP-certified under the law so you can perform this work. It will also allow you to file yearly EMP statements on any work performed, also required by law.

This is a 4-hour course, including the exam. The EMP certificate will be mailed to those who pass the exam and pay the $10 training fee.
