This is the 5th Annual Granite City 5K Run/Walk for Veterans to be held in Barre, VT, Saturday, November 2, 2019. Check-in starts at 8:00 am with the race starting at 9:00 am. Activities include a traditional 5K Run or Walk. This event is presented by the Sons of the American Legion at Barre Post 10 in collaboration with Barre Elks #1535. Race participants will check-in at the American Legion and the start of the race will commence in the parking lot of Capstone Community Action which is adjacent to the Legion. This event is a celebration to all of our men and women who have served our armed forces and to make aware of the many challenges veterans face in Vermont. All of the profit generated from this event goes to The Veterans' Place, an organization that provides support services to veterans in need of support. 100% of the profit will go to the Veteran's Place, Inc. in Northfield, supporting services for Veterans in Central Vermont.
