A Men Alive weekend retreat for personal growth, supportive fellowship, community healing and celebration

Come celebrate the autumnal equinox with friends, old and new. The sun will cross the celestial equator, and we will together reap the harvest of the year, paying it forward for the coming colder months. And do so with gratitude.

As the sun sets in the west sooner each day, many feel the invitation to return inward, to return to the home of our soul. We will continue to learn and share what shape that takes for us and ask ourselves what does my soul need me to hear or speak, to do or not do, etc. at this time of transition?

There will be ritual, drumming, dance, music, stories, small group sharing, delicious meals, writing, laughter, tears, Open Stage, sweat lodge, river dips... All activities optional.

This will be our first Men Alive gathering at the Metta Earth Institute, a beautiful farm and retreat center focused on a contemplative approach to ecology. As there is no cap on our attendance there, please do consider taking this opportunity to invite friends to join us.

Yurts and other indoor heated as well as outdoor non-heated spaces will be available for sleeping and gathering. Camping is also welcome. Food will be provided in part from the gardens of Metta Earth and in part from Men Alive attendees. Specific dietary restrictions should be communicated beforehand. We encourage participants to bring snacks to eat and share Friday night.

Expect to pay between $120 and $160, according to your means – however, no one will be turned away for lack of funds.

Men Alive welcomes all non-binary and male-identified people, regardless of race, class, sexual orientation, or ability. We maintain a judgement free, and private space at all times.
