The Varnum Memorial Library is pleased to announce that the Roald Dahl Book Club will start on Monday September 16, 5:00 - 5:45. In the tradition of our past youth books club (the Harry Potter and Percy Jackson series), this year we are going to be focusing on the works of beloved author Roald Dahl! Roald Dahl is the author of such classics as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Matilda and James and the Giant Peach.

The book club is recommended for ages 8-12, but is open to anyone, young and old. Younger kids are welcome to participate as well, as the chapters make a perfect amount to be read aloud. Those seven and under should be accompanied by an adult to the meetings. Meetings will be held each week on Monday and copies of all the books will be provided to participants.

In the spirit of the fast approaching holiday of Halloween, we will be starting with Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
