Come spend the afternoon walking to four different farms along a 4.5 mile route. At each stop, participants will have a chance to tour the farms and meet the farmers, participate in community-building activities, and celebrate the ways in which local, organic agriculture, and the strong community it creates, are effective in combating large scale problems of today. We'll visit Maple Wind Farm, Burnt Rock Farm, Pleasant Mount Farm, and end the day with a celebration of live music and dinner from NOFA-VT's wood fired pizza oven at Jubilee Farm.
This fundraising walk brings to life the vision of NOFA-VT's late Executive Director, Enid Wonnacott, and her idea of a farm to farm walk across the state. All proceeds from this walk will go to support NOFA-VT's Farm Share Program, which provides limited-income Vermonters with reduced cost fresh foods through local CSA farms.
