"What I Love about Islam"

The tension and misunderstandings between the Islam and the West are dangerous, tragic and unnecessary. This sermon is an effort to bridge that gap of misunderstanding. What may be intriguing about Islam for religious liberals? What parallels may we discover between our own lives and perspectives and that taught and lived by so many Muslims? Join us for an opportunity to open our hearts and minds to what valuable life lessons we can gain from this powerful and inspiring religious tradition. Presented by Rev. Dr. Mellen Kennedy who is a Universalist minister and also a Sufi minister (Cheraga). She serves as minister for the UU Meetinghouse in Springfield, Vermont. She is founder of "Peace and Unity Bridge," (PUB), an organization dedicated to cultivating friendship and understanding among Muslims and non-Muslims.
