WILMINGTON, VT—Join the Tasha Tudor Society at Molly Stark State Park on Monday, August 26 at 10:30 am for a Tasha Tudor StoryWalk®. The Society, in partnership with Pettee Memorial Library, will present "1 is One" to commemorate what would have been the Vermont icon's 104th birthday. Young readers will discover the pages of this classic childrens' Caldecott Honor Book and explore Tasha's counting treasures. We'll have nature-based, Tasha-inspired activities for kids of all ages and a birthday snack. This is a family-friendly event, and grown-up kids are welcome too! Admission is free. Meet at the picnic pavilion; if rain is forecasted, check Pettee Library's Facebook page or call 802-464-8557 for location change.
This event is a pilot for the Tasha Tudor Society's new StoryWalk® project, collaborating with local educators and artisans, as well as with libraries across the US, to promote literacy, exercise and appreciation of nature.
The Tasha Tudor Society is a Vermont non-profit dedicated to inspiring and connecting people through the world created by author, illustrator and early American lifestyle icon, Tasha Tudor. The organization started out in 2006 as the Brattleboro-based Tasha Tudor Museum, but in 2017 changed its name and closed its in-town exhibit space in favor of growing nation-wide Society chapters, producing an award-winning journal, and developing new programs to reach a wider audience.
