We've all got it - extra "stuff", things lying around the house that need a new home but you just haven't made the time to put them in good hands. Why not offload some of the emotional baggage those items have and walk home with something you _really_ need?
This Thursday, as a part of Reading Parks & Rec's Puddledock Park Party series, you can look to parlay those items into something even better with our first ever Swap Night!
Join us at 6pm at the Puddledock Park, right next to the Reading Public Library, and learn the true meaning of "one man's trash is another man's treasure"!
WHO: You (and your family, friends, pets, significant others, primary care physician, less-than-significant others, copies of the move "The Others")
WHAT: Your stuff you're willing to part with, but not the parts you're willing to stuff with.
WHERE: Puddledock Park, the beautiful greenspace immediately north of the Reading Public Library on Route 106 in Reading, Vermont.
WHEN: Thursday, August 22 at 6pm ET
WHY: Because inanimate objects don't have the mobility nor sentience to relocate themselves to homes where they will be loved.
HOW: By foot, bicycle, automobile, whatever you'd like. Honestly, we'd love to see you pull up in a truck loaded with small items that you'd like to part with. The more the merrier, and everyone would love to see this event be a succes for the sake of reducing landfill waste and encouraging our local community members to spend time together in the great outdoors.
