Weather dependent, I am planning the Spontaneous Evening Under the Stars this Weekend (Aug 23, Aug 24 or Aug 25). So far all three days look like possibilities with Sunday the 25 the best. Unless the weather forecast changes, the event will be Sunday night.

The event will be held at Orchard Hill Observatory, 70 Poor Farm Rd in South Alburgh VT. I will send out an announcement when I get closer to the date.

Saturn and Jupiter are in perfect position for viewing this summer. Members of the Vermont Astronomical Society will bring telescopes to share their enthusiasm for the night sky. There will also be a green laser tour of the constellations.

This is a free event for the whole family. You are invited to come to this event sponsored by Island Arts and the Vermont Astronomical Society. Activities start at around 8PM. There will be on-site parking and golf carts to bring people to the viewing area if needed.
