Celebrate the end of summer this Saturday night with the Pawlet Public Library. The Washington County Band returns for a concert on the library lawn at 6:30 p.m. Join us at 5:30 p.m. for a community potluck dinner that will run all the way down Weatherby Lane to the library.

The Washington County Band includes 40-some volunteer members. Under the direction of Paul Kafer, their repertoire includes marches, show tunes, ballads, movie themes and other standard concert band selections.

Bring a dish to share and your own place settings. The library will provide tables and chairs. No alcohol, please. In the event of rain, the potluck will be inside the library and the concert will be at the Town Hall Auditorium across the street. Come rain or shine. The concert is co-sponsored by Lakes Lampshades, Citizens Band and Marlee Farm Alpacas.
