Planned Parenthood Washington County Activists has an event today, August 19th from 5:30-7:30 at the Montpelier Unitarian Church.

This is a letter writing event to urge Senator Leahy to champion the passage of Title X protections
in Congress. Title X is a federal funding program that supports millions of Americans in getting affordable access to essential reproductive health care, including 10,000 people right here in Vermont. The Trump-Pence Administration has enacted a "gag rule" that bans providers enrolled in the Title X program from telling patients how they can safely and legally access abortion. It makes it impossible for patients in the program to get birth control and prevents providers from giving full information to patients about all their sexual and reproductive health care options.
