Swanton Arts Council is proud to bring to you Corrina Thurston Studios with a beginner colored pencil class on August 29th at the Swanton Public Library from 5:30-8:30pm. This is a three-hour class teaching the basics of drawing with colored pencils in an opaque and realistic style. You will discuss and practice techniques like creating shine, creating texture, layering, getting vibrant, opaque colors, etching details with an x-acto knife, blending and more. You will practice drawing a few different small items and each participant will walk away with the basic skills to create a full, vibrant colored pencil drawing and the pencils to do it with!
