The Stone Valley Arts Center presents a Community Drum Circle on Sunday, April 13th, 6:30-8:00 pm. Cost $5 at the door. $3 for students.

Bring the ancient power of music back into your life, beginning with the fundamentals of rhythm.
The drum is an ancient tool of communication and community building. In Africa and in many other cultures around the world, before any major tribal decision is made, the community gathers together at the center of the village to make music. This joyous making of music breaks down barriers and creates a sense of unity, thus enabling communities to become more effective in their decision-making. Drumming is also good for health and well-being and is a powerful antidote for that stagnant winter energy.

No previous musical experience required.
Recommended for ages 12 and up.
Drums and percussion provided or bring your own.
Canned food and/or additional donations welcome
for the Poultney Food Shelf.
