Class on Communicating with People with Dementia

Mayo Healthcare's Community Learning Series continues with the Alzheimer Association's presentation on Understanding and Responding to Dementia Related Behaviors on August 20th from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. at the Mayo Residential Care library, 610 Water Street, Northfield. Behavior is one of the primary ways in which people with dementia attempt to communicate their needs and feelings. In this class we will learn how to decode behavioral messages, identify common behavior triggers and learn strategies to help intervene with some of the mos common behavioral challenges of Alzheimer's Disease.
