Grow Your Own Free Herbal Tinctures Workshop

Past event
Sep 7, 2019, 1:30 to 3:30 PM

Grow Your Own is offering a workshop in making herbal tinctures in Hardwick on September 7. Erin Rosenthal will lead the free hands-on workshop which will be geared towards beginners but with tips for more experienced folks. Participants will practice plant ID and use local seasonal herbs to create two different tinctures, one of which everyone will take home and the second which will be raffled off to a lucky participant. The workshop will be held at the Center for an Agricultural Economy (CAE) office at 140 Junction Road in Hardwick from 1:30 to 3:30. Although the workshop is free, registration is required in advance as space and tincture materials are limited. Grow Your Own always offers snacks, and kids are always welcome. Child care and transportation can potentially be arranged if requested in advance. The mission of Grow Your Own is increased food independence, better health and wellbeing through shared knowledge and experience. It is a project of the Hardwick Area Food Pantry, the Center for an Agricultural Economy and NEK Kids on the Move (Wonder Arts). To register or for more information, please contact CAE Community Programs Manager Bethany M. Dunbar at bethany@hardwickagricluture.org or (802) 472-5362.
