,Singer Linda Radtke, dressed in period costume, shares songs popular in Vermont during the Civil War, as well as letters from Vermonters from the era. She traces the evolution of tone in Vermont popular song, from patriotic to elegiac as the war continued. The event immediately follows the 81st annual Castleton Colonial Day house tour. Held at the Federated Church in the village, the event is sponsored by the Castleton Historical Society ,and is free and open to the public. All are welcome!!
