Can Small-Scale, Sustainable Agriculture Feed the World?

Heather Davis, adjunct faculty at the Community College of Vermont, will be presenting at Sterling College on the topic: “Can small-scale, sustainable agriculture feed the world?” The talk will be at Sterling College’s Simpson Hall, Classroom 3, on Thursday, March 27, at 6:30 p.m.

Heather Davis has worked in the agricultural/food security sector for the past 17 years. She has spent the past four years developing and implementing multiple monitoring systems for food systems, food security, and program valuation.

Past projects include an evaluation and monitoring framework for Hardwick’s Center for an Agricultural Economy. As an adjunct faculty member at the Community College of Vermont, she teaches “Research Methods.” Heather edited the report “What is an Optimum / Sustainable Population for Vermont?” and wrote the chapter on food self-sufficiency.
