Randy Pierce, Inspirational Speaker and Advocate for the Blind, to Speak at Sterling College

Randy Pierce, the founder and president of 2020 Vision Quest, will be presenting at Sterling College on “Reaching Your Peak Potential.” The talk will be at Sterling College’s Simpson Hall, Classroom 3, on Friday, March 28, at 6:30 p.m.

Pierce was only 22 years old when he started to lose his sight due to a devastating neurological disease. By 2000, he was completely blind. However, he has used his blindness as a catalyst for change, earning his second-degree black belt in karate, being inducted into the Football Hall of Fame, and hiking all 48 of New Hampshire’s 4,000 foot mountains in the winter of 2011-2012.

Pierce will be talking about his adventures hiking with his guide dog, The Mighty Quinn. His talk will encompass overcoming personal challenges, the value of community in leading a fulfilling life, and how we can never predict where life will take you.

Pierce has presented at Google, Yankee Candle, the Bank of New Hampshire, as well as been on national television shows, including Rosie O’Donnell, Jimmy Kimmel Live, and The Best Damn Sports Show Period.

This talk is free and open to the public.
