Hummus Day at the Market

Past event

An ancient food, hummus likely originated from Egypt and is mentioned as early as the 13th century. "Hummus" is an Arabic word meaning "chickpea." It is a paste or a dip made from chickpeas, olive oil, garlic, tahini, lemon juice and salt.

Visiting POP Club this week, the RiseVT Bike uses human pedal-power to make snack foods. Kids, join our special guest, Andrea Malinowski, and help make some delicious hummus to enjoy along with farm-fresh veggies at the Arlington Village Farmers Market, August 23rd.

It's FUN, it's FREE, it's FRIDAYS!
