Event: Aug 24, 2019, 8:30 PM to 11:00 PM
Morrisville, Vermont screenwriter, John Fusco, known for "Young Guns", "Thunderheart", "Hidalgo", "Forbidden Kingdom", the Netflix "Marco Polo" series, and the recent Kevin Costner-Woody Harrelson starrer, "The Highwaymen", has been a storyteller for the greater part of his life. He's now returning to songwriting, an integral part of his storytelling arsenal, leading to a masterful dominance of the Hammond B-3 and naturally segueing to his raw, gutsy, bluesy vocals.
The mission of Fusco's new endeavor, John Fusco and the X-Road Riders is the passing of the passion to the next gen, where he's squarely aiming the spotlight. Composed of twelve Vermont musicians, with the majority under the age of twenty-seven and as young as nineteen, the band will be rolling out the jams on The Rusty Nail Stage at Tres Amigos in Stowe on August 24th.
The circle that began with John;s teen-aged odyssey in search of lost blues legends in the Mississippi Delta--a quest that resulted in the creation of Fusco's first movie, the musicians cult classic "Crossroads"—now comes full with the X-Road Riders, here in Stowe.
