The new school year is almost upon us and for lots of caregivers of transgender and nonbinary students that means advocating for their needs in a new school, with new teachers, or a new system. Join Outright VT to learn about topics like how to help teachers and peers adjust to new pronouns, how to change a gender marker in the school information system, how to advocate for inclusive facilities and curricula, and how to connect with school staff about making school a better and safer place. A panel of caregivers who have experience advocating for their youth will share approaches and answer questions.
