Colchester Parks & Recreation is excited to offer another series of movies in the park this summer! What better way to enjoy a beautiful summer night than to relax in your favorite Colchester Park and enjoy a movie? We'll be showing family-friendly movies (rated either G or PG) on Friday evenings outdoors on our giant screen. We'll be traveling to Bayside Park & Airport Park this August and September. All movies start at dusk (around 8:00 PM) and are FREE and open to the public! Bring a lawn chair or blanket, and bug spray!
This Friday, August 9, is FLASHBACK FRIDAY we'll be showing the '80s classic, "The Goonies" at Airport Park (in the open space near the pavilion). Parents and children alike will enjoy this old-fashioned tale about a band of adventurous kids who take on the might of a property developing company which plans to destroy their home to build a country club. When the children discover an old pirate map in the attic, they follow it into an underground cavern in search of lost treasure but come up against plenty of dangerous obstacles along the way. "The Goonies" is rated PG.
The Colchester Lions Club will be grilling hot dogs and hamburgers at this event, so come for dinner before the movie (by donation)! Free popcorn (courtesy of ACE Hardware) and water will also be available.

• September 13: Aladdin [1992] (at Bayside Park)
