The Essex Selectboard (SB) is meeting on Monday, August 5 at 7 PM. The meeting will be held at the Town Offices, 81 Main Street, Essex Junction. Here are some highlights from the agenda:

-Public to be heard.
-The SB will present a Resolution of Appreciation to the Unsworth Family for their donation of approximately 164 acres of conservation land.
-The SB will interview and consider appointing Brian Shelden to the Economic Development Commission.
-The SB will consider adopting the new Vermont State Road Standards.
-The SB will consider designating Essex Free Library Director Caitlin Corless the local leader representing Essex at the Second Annual Vermont Community Leadership Summit.
-The SB will hear an update from the Governance Subcommittee.
-The SB will consider approving the use of an infographic regarding the potential 2020 merger.
-The SB will consider approving the consent agenda, which includes minutes approval and check warrants.
