Author Rajnii Eddins Speaker Event - Clemmons Family Far

Past event
Aug 4, 2019, 4 to 5:30 PM

Rajnii Eddins is one of the Clemmons Family Farm's collaborating artists who leads, plans and implements African-American and African diaspora arts and culture programming through our "A Sense of Place" project. Rajnii's latest published work, Their Names Are Mine, is a powerful collection of more than 20 years of his poetry that confronts white supremacy while affirming our collective humanity. Rajnii asks, "What lessons can we learn from these poems and apply to our lives in today's society?" "How can we help one another, as a multicultural community, to find our own fortunes- however we may define them?" The Clemmons Family Farm invites you to explore these questions and reflect with Rajnii for the second of our five-part speakers series, "To Sing of Common Things: Making A Way Out of No Way", moderated by Dr. Wanda Heading-Grant on Sunday, August 4, 2019, from 4-5:30 p.m., will take place in the historic Barn House at the Clemmons Family Farm.
