On Thursday, August 8, from 7-8:00pm, the Peace & Justice Center will be hosting our annual commemoration of the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki (on Aug 6 and 9, 1945).

We gather at the Burlington waterfront to sing peace songs and launch candle boats into the lake at sunset. It is a lovely and poignant event.

We are still looking for someone with a canoe (or kayak, paddle board, or rowboat) who can transport it to the waterfront to use to pull the candle boats out. Let me know if you have any leads or questions.
