The Vergennes Area Lions Club Annual Charity Auction Wednesday, 31 July at St Peters Parish Hall, 85 S. Maple St Vergennes. Preview begins at 5PM. Auction starts at 6PM. Come to the auction and see what we have. Many gift certificates from local businesses and vendors; furniture; antiques; local artist prints; dollar/white elephant table; and food concession on site. Come and have some fun for the evening. Donations are accepted and can be picked up by Lions members after 4PM on Tuesday 30 July by calling 545-8181. Antiques, household furniture, and vacation stays are accepted. No electronics, appliances or entertainment centers please.

Proceeds from the auction are all returned to the local community through various non-profits. The Lions Club International is the largest service organization in the world. As a result of the fundraisers and the club's yearly activities, the Vergennes Area Lions Club has consistently donated an average of $30,000 back to the local communities.
