Are you heartbroken/enraged/horrified by how migrants are being treated at the southern border? By children -- even babies -- being separated from their families and held without even the most basic of accommodations? Are you disgusted by the hypocrisy of roundups of migrant dairy workers here in Vermont, without whom a significant portion of our agricultural economy would grind to a halt?
Have you been thinking to yourself, "I'm not really a marching-and-protesting kind of person, but this is really too much!" This weekend is your chance to make a difference.
Join hundreds (maybe thousands!) of your fellow Vermonters at a march and protest at the ICE data center in Williston. This data center has been quietly operating in VT for years and is the national nerve center that aids much of ICE's work, providing data about people's immigration status to federal agents nationwide.
The march is this Sunday the 28th from 2:30 to 5 PM. Meet at Vermont Tech in Williston (2108 Essex Rd, Williston, VT 05495), then march to the ICE office. Details and RSVP at: https://www.facebook.com/events/525124998026054/
