Protest at Ice Data Center

Past event
Jul 28, 2019, 2:30 to 4 PM

Many of us have wondered how we can raise our voices against the atrocities at our border.

Join the WE WILL NOT BE SILENT march on ICE Data Center
in Williston, VT this Sunday, July 28th, 2:30pm.
This is a peaceful event organized by the Burlington Peace & Justice Center.

Marchers meet at 2:30 at 2108 Essex Rd, Williston and march to 188 Harvest Ln,Williston. If you are unable to march, but wish to protest come directly to 188 Harvest Ln at 4:00.

For those who are interested, there will be a symbolic act of civil disobedience planned. This is not for everyone and that's more than ok. There will be a very clear and strict barrier between those who are taking part in civil disobedience and are willing to risk arrest, and those who are protesting and do not wish to risk arrest. If you would like to take part in the civil disobedience, you must arrive at 11:30 for a Non Violent Direct Action training. If you think you would like to be part of the civil disobedience, please contact the Peace & Justice Center directly.

NUMBERS ARE IMPORTANT—This is a moment to stand for the best in our democracy

You can follow this event and get more information on the Burlington Peace and Justice Facebook page.

Carpooling: If you would like to carpool for the march and protest, please arrive at Champlain Valley Unitarian Universalist Society, Middlebury parking lot before 1:30 on Sunday. This will be self-organized, just show up, either willing to drive or be a passenger. Be prepared to leave promptly at 1:30. If you would like to carpool for the 11:30 arrival for civil disobedience, please contact Joanna Colwell at joanna.colwell@gmail.com

Don't forget your signs!
