Jane Melrose, licensed acupuncturist and Chinese Medicine practitioner is offering community auricular (ear) acupuncture for stress relief, PTSD, addiction, chronic pain, anxiety and overall well being.

The series is five consecutive weeks 2 x a week, on Tues and Thurs evenings 5:30 to 6:30 beginning
July 16th and ending Thursday August 15th (please note that the posted event date is only for this week as
this forum will only let me post within the week).
You do not have to attend all the sessions but it's highly recommended as the
the more frequent the treatments the greater the benefit is in a concentrated period of time.
Sessions will be held in the beautiful Vergennes Opera House upstairs.
Wheel chair access is available.
Cost is $5.00 a session to cover space rental and supplies.

What does this entail?
Participants will arrive quietly and take a chair in a circle. There will be soft music playing. Everyone sits quietly as I come around and place small sterilized single use acupuncture needles in specific points in the outer ear. These points relate to organs which are responsible for detoxing the body and calming the nervous system.
After I place the needles everyone sits in a meditative silence for 40 minutes.
After the needles are removed, participants quietly leave the space.
This is not a "processing or group therapy" situation but a self reflective healing opportunity. Acupuncture is a technique that's thousands of years old and has been proven as a safe, effective traditional technique that reminds the body of its innate ability to heal.
