The Barre (VT) Heritage Festival is kicking off Thurs. 7/25 at the Old Labor Hall with a desert and, this year, tourtiere (meat pie) competition and tasting followed by the Franco-American music of Michele Choiniere and her group of 1st rate musicians. The tasting begins at 5:30 and the music at 6. Michele performs traditional Franco-American and Quebec folk songs, original compositions, jazz standards, and an occasional French classic.
