Please join us for this three day dance festival at The Phantom Theater in Warren, VT. The Mad River Valley Performance Platform, created by Sarah Rose and Alexandra Lance, is excited to share a mixed bill of Vermont based artists and visiting artists working in NY, FL, TN, and CA as well as a series of community dance classes on July 29.
The Mad River Valley Performance Platform opens with a day of community movement classes on July 29, 2019. We hope you'll join us in celebrating the midsummer heat with movement! All classes well suited to all bodies, no prior movement or dance experience necessary unless otherwise noted.
Community Class Schedule (all classes by donation ($5 suggested) come when you can - leave when you must):
8:00am - 9:00am: Feldenkrais Method - Awareness Through Movement (Sarah Rose)
9:00am -10:30am: Community Dance - Developing Ensemble in Short Order (Alana Rancourt-Phinney)
10:30am - 12:00pm: Modern Dance - Intermediate/Advanced (Isadora Snapp)
12:00pm - 1:00pm: Lunchtime Power Pilates (Alexandra Lance)
1:00pm - 2:30pm: Intro to Ballet (Julie Opiel)
July 30, 8pm performance includes choreography by: Sarah Rose (NY), Alana Rancourt-Phinney (VT), Julie Opiel (CA/TN), Alexandra Lance (NY), Janet Cesarotti (NY/FL).
July 31, 8pm performance includes choreography by: Sarah Rose (NY), Hanna Satterlee (VT), Emma Manion (VT), Julie Opiel (CA/TN), and Isadora Snapp (VT)
July 31 performance includes a post performance reception open to all.
