As one of the people whose story is being included, this is an invitation to a world premiere happening on Friday July 26th at the Chandler Center in Randolph. 15 LGBTQ Vermonters have shared personal stories about our experiences growing up in Vermont. Please come join us and see what we have to share. It might sound familiar. You might hear something new.
But, wait, the festival has more to offer. And now, the traditional release you were expecting.
FPF is making this all too easy!

Vermont Pride Theater at Chandler is pleased to announce the lineup for its ninth annual summer pride festival. It includes a world premiere, Standing in This Place: Growing Up LGBTQ in Vermont; a Northeastern premiere, the multi-generational dramedy All Together Now; and a Vermont premiere, the classic lesbian relationship study, A Late Snow. The 10-day festival will also feature a benefit screening of the Oscar-winning film Brokeback Mountain.
Standing in This Place: Growing Up LGBTQ in Vermont: Vermont is known as one of the most progressive states in the country, due largely to the decades-long struggle of the LGBTQ communities and their allies. In this original Vermont Pride Theater commissioned work, conceived and written by Maura Campbell, a multi-generational ensemble of 15 Vermonters takes the stage to tell their own personal stories of the ground-shattering events of the past 30 years. They are Stacia Bullock (Rutland), Carolyn Campbell (Bethel), Grae Frechette (Northfield), Keith Goslant (Montpelier), Tim Grenon (Websterville), Mark Hackett (Brookfield), Josh Huffman (Randolph), Nancy Manney and Gail Shorey (formerly of Brandon), Rae Merrill (Brookfield), Madison Messier (Burlington), Middlebury Pratt (Rutland), Chris Roberts (Barre), Howard Russell (Hinesburg), and Kim Ward (Montpelier). State Representative Bill Lippert makes a cameo appearance. Directed by Charlie McMeekin.
