Prefer to think about something else? We have the perfect evening entertainment for you! The new documentary The Human Element will be shown at Catamount Arts this Friday at 7pm. Beautifully filmed by James Balog, the photographer who made the film Chasing Ice, the movie showcases the effects of climate change on ordinary people across the United States. It is an energizing as well as a sobering film. Janel Hanrahan, chair of the Atmospheric Sciences Department at Northern Vermont University/LSC, will lead a lively discussion with 4 of her students, following the 80-minute film. Co-sponsored by the St Johnsbury Town Energy Committee and the Atmospheric Sciences Dept at NVU.
