The Steampunk Society of VT, a federally recognized non-profit based in Springfield, VT, is hosting the 4th Springfield Steampunk Festival on September 21st and 22nd at Hartness House Inn, Riverside Middle School, and at participating businesses on Main St. This year, our festival tickets will be treasure maps that lead us to fun and exciting games, raffles, and workshops held at businesses around Springfield. Most activities and events will be within walking distance, and others accessible by shuttles; this is going to really involve as much of the town as possible.
There will be vendors, a children's program, an alcohol tent, live music, fun workshops, games, and food! Along with underground tunnel/telescope tours, a fashion show, magic show, teapot racing, a private absinthe tasting, and so much more. The theme this year is "The Kraken", inspiring pirates and mermaids to come out of the water to have fun with us.
This festival is a fundraiser used to create an educational scholarship program for students in Springfield and surrounding towns studying the STEAM subjects of science, technology, engineering, art, or math post high school. The goal of the Steampunk Society of VT is to bring back the industrial life that made this town thrive.
