1.) "MUSHROOMS WILD & CULTIVATED"
Sunday, Aug. 25th from 10am to 3pm at the Rock Point Conference Center in Burlington, VT

Have you been looking for an entry point into the endlessly intriguing world of mushroom cultivation and foraging? Learn how to cultivate log-grown shiitake mushrooms in this hands-on workshop, and take home an inoculated log to get you started. Then, join us for a colorful presentation covering foraging safety, strategy, and technique. After we become familiar with some of the region's most distinctive and delicious species, we will try out luck on a guided mushroom foray. $65 per person, includes a shiitake log, handout and snacks.

2.) "MUSHROOM CULTIVATION in PERMACULTURE SYSTEMS"
Sunday, Sep. 8th from 10am-12:30pm in Charlotte, VT

Create a landscape that produces a bounty of gourmet mushrooms while nourishing soil fertility and boosting vegetable yields. Participate in hands on inoculation of king stropharia mushrooms in a soil boosting garden polyculture, and learn how to turn shady corners of your yard into an outdoor shiitake and oyster mushroom production system. We will cover all aspects of shiitake production, from inoculation methods to laying yard management and season extension. $45 per person, includes a shiitake log and handout.
