America Meditates (Vermont)

Past event
Jul 24, 2019, 8 to 10 PM

This Wednesday, July 24th, Charlotte is hosting a local gathering of AMERICA MEDITATES, part of an International Mental Health Summit and Meditation event taking place Live in Denver.

The event, inspired by the 20th Anniversary of Columbine, encourages us to gather, discuss and find ways to more deeply meet the needs of our 21st century crises of violence, depression, anxiety, drug-abuse, loneliness and stress in our local communities.

We will gather at The Common House at Ten Stones Circle off Greenbush Road from 8pm-10pm to enjoy refreshments, talk about violence prevention and improving the overall health of our communities, and participate in a live-stream of a national meditation being led live in Denver, Colorado.

"Not being in touch with your inner being is one of the main reasons for mental health instability. When one is not able to effectively manage their emotions and thoughts, then they are also inhibited in their communication. Lack of proper communication causes all sorts of problems – for individuals and societies alike – leading to stress and trauma that impacts mental health. This summit will bring people together to learn meditation, calm their minds, and make one feel happy from within." says H.H. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.
