Please join us for a walk along the new Pownal trail and learn about invasive plants with Jock Irons, Saturday, July 27, at 10 a.m.

At the southern end of North Pownal, turn west onto Dean Road and park immediately on the right at the Town Garage, where we'll meet and start the walk.

Jock will: 1) ID individual plants that need to be removed, as well as how to ID them; 2) spread the word about invasives to Pownal residents, so we can treat own land; and 3) talk about the efficacy and legality of various treatment methods. Jock's personal goal is to make more folks aware of the problem so that they can be part of the solution.

He will bring some of the tools he has used and talk about methods of using them.
