Week 3 of Tuesday Night Live features the Abby Sherman Band from 6 PM to 8:30 PM on July 23rd at the Legion Field, School Street. Singer, songwriter Abby Sherman (acoustical guitar) is joined by Ben Slotnick (mandolin) and Nate Wallace-Gusakov (banjo) for an evening of original folk music. A Vermont native, she graduated from Stowe High School, Abby says she has always been singing and started writing her own songs at age 8. This talented trio promises a heart filled listening experience.
Vendors on site with great food. Bring your appetites, your dinner plates and/or reusable containers for take-out or to enjoy a picnic on the field. Just bring a chair or blanket for terrific music. It is free. Info at 730-2943.
Parking is along School Street, in the Elementary School Parking lot, and at the McClelland Building lot on College Hill. Summer showers may dampen the enthusiasm for a few minutes; but it is lightning and thunder that cancels the event.
Tuesday Night Live is free thanks to the support of local businesses and organizations: Butternut Mountain Farm, Carrie Cook Design, Concept II, Downtown Pizzeria, Fern Hill Massage, Foote Brook Farm, The Forget Me Not Shop, Green Mountain Massage School, Johnson Hardware & Rental, and Johnson Works. Also Laraway Youth and Family Services, Lost Nation Brewing, Polow & Polow, Red House, Rock Art Brewery, Sterling Market, The Studio Store, Vermont Studio Center, and Whittemore Rental Properties.
