You Must See the Lincoln School Play Tomorrow! March 20

I just had the priviledge of seeing the Lincoln Community School performance of: Mud and Water: Flood Stories from Potato Hill and Downstream. As always, I was blown away by the level of this performance! The play is about how Vermonters have coped with large floods throughout our history. I was so impressed with the professionalism exhibited by the students' dancing, singing, technical production, and incredibly clear and strong voices. The stories will move you to tears, laughter, and a sense that we are all connected with each other. The multipurpose room looks fabulous with the stage, lights, and collages all around. The final performance is tomorrow night, March 20th at 7pm. Don't miss it! (especially anyone who has served our community in times of need such as emergency responders, town officials, road crew and equipment operators, volunteers) If we could figure out a way to preserve this performance in a time capsule, it would be a beautiful thing to share with future generations.

I want to thank the teachers, Alice Leeds, Donna Wood, Nancy McClaran, and all the community members who have contributed to making these performances happen through the years. You have raised the bar for these students and they have become stronger to meet it! The annual 5/6 play has become a wonderful part of our Lincoln culture, and a gift that each of the students will remember for their whole lives.
