It's time for the 92nd annual Pleasant Valley Picnic! If you live here in the Valley, grew up here, farm here, have family here, or just love it here, please join us at our home Sunday, August 4th at noon for an afternoon of community fun. There will be a bounce house and activities for kids and lawn games for all ages. We will provide pork roasts and chicken on the grill. Please bring a chair, a dish to pass, eating utensils, and a beverage of choice. Looking for some new summer reading? Bring a book (children's too!) and participate in the annual book swap!

The Picnic is what remains of the efforts of the Valley Workers, those farm women who amassed to raise much needed money for the Cambridge United Church after the devastating '27 Flood. The Workers would hold monthly suppers – 10 cents a head – at farms throughout the Valley. While the picnic is free the tradition continues!
