FOLA brings a late Eighties rom-com classic "When Harry Met Sally" to screen in the Heald Auditorium at the Ludlow Town Hall on Saturday July 20th at 7pm.
Billie Crystal (Harry) and Meg Ryan (Sally) star in this 1989 Rob Reiner directed and Nora Ephron scripted movie about the trials and tribulations of two long time friends trying to fall in love, and perhaps just ending up out of love. The two meet in college in 1970s and keep running into each other on and off during the 1980s until Sally calls Harry in the middle of the night looking for a shoulder to cry on when she learns about her ex-boyfriend's marriage plans.
Carrie Fisher and Bruno Kirby play the best friends who help them navigate their star crossed relationship. In his Chicago Tribune review, Gene Siskel quipped that "When Harry Met Sally pleasantly affirms the institution of marriage while showing how difficult it is to achieve a lasting one." "When Harry Met Sally" is free and open to open to everyone, but donations are appreciated. The movie is rated "R" and it runs for one hour and thirty-five minutes. Berkshire Bank will provide the popcorn with FOLA supplying water. Call 802-228-3238 or visit FOLA's web site - www.fola.us.
