The Craftsbury Chamber Players will join internationally renowned baritone Gregory Purnhagen for an evening of American chamber music and art song on Wednesday, July 17th at 7:30 at the Elley-Long Music Center on the Fort Ethan Allen Campus of St. Michael's College, and on Thursday, July 18th at 7:30 at the Hardwick Town House in Hardwick. Purnhagen and pianist Monica Ohurchi will open the concert with songs by Stephen Foster, John Alden Carpenter, Carrie Jacobs-Bond, and Arthur Foote. The program continues with Charles Ives' "Sonata No. 3" and Samuel Barber's "Dover Beach" for baritone and string quartet. The evening concludes with "Five Folksongs in Counterpoint" for string quartet by Florence Price. There will be a pre-concert chat at 6:45pm. Tickets are $25, $10 for students, and free for children under 13. FREE CONCERT PASSES ARE AVAILABLE AT ALL CHITTENDEN COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARIES.
