Black Beauty at the Center for Whole Communities, 209 Battery St, Burlington. This program hopes to help those of the African diaspora understand the history of black beauty, and how these beauty standards have evolved over time in the hands of colonization, slavery, and Jim Crow. More importantly, it aims to encourage them to embrace their beauty and be proud of being black. This program was designed by and for people of African Descent.
