0n Saturday, July 27th, starting at 10 a.m., Jock Irons will lead a walking talk identifying invasive species along the newly cleared trail on the berm at the Waste Water Treatment Facility in North Pownal. Learn to identify them on your property and what, if anything, you can do about them.
I just learned that wild parsnip is poisonous, and I've learned to hate knotweed. Join me, will you?
The gate to the Waste Water Treatment Facility will be closed because it is a Saturday, so park at the Town Garage on Dean Road, turning west off route 346 at the southern end of North Pownal. The Garage will be immediately on your right.
Sponsored by Pownal's Recreation Task Force.
