July's Memorable Times Cafe, "Celebrating the Moon", will feature:
o moon pies
o Swiss cheese
o "Where were you when?" sharing related to the moon landing on 7/20/1969
o a brainstorm of moon-croons (songs with moon theme or moon lyrics) and…
o playing recordings of such songs to sing along with, move and dance to
We also anticipate a special appearance of moon rocks, courtesy of the VT Historical Society!
We love the stories that arise from reminiscence and comfortable company! Come share with us!

Memorable Times Café is a relaxed social time for people living with mild to moderate memory loss, and their care partners. A dementia-friendly community event, it is free and open to the public. Cafés are held on the third Wednesday of each month, from 1:30 to 3 PM, in the Community Room at the Vermont History Center, 60 Washington Street, in Barre. Memorable Times Café is sponsored by the Central Vermont Council on Aging in partnership with the ABLE Library of the Vermont Department of Libraries and area volunteers.
Participants enjoy social time and refreshments, as well as opportunities to share stories, music, movement and laughter. ABLE Library staff are available to facilitate access to "talking books" and other resources.
Please note that the Memory Café is not a drop-off or adult day care program. Each participant is expected to be accompanied by a care partner.
